David Hamilton
Dave Hamilton, resident of Wembley, passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2017, at the Beaverlodge Hospital, at the age of 64 years.
Dave was born September 23, 1952, in Saskatoon, SK and moved with his family to Alberta. He drove truck for many years until he decided he wanted to spend more time at home, so he went to Fairview College to pursue Heavy Duty Mechanics and became a Master Journeyman.
Dave will be remembered for his great sense of humour, being a teaser. He loved having the children and grandchildren around.
He enjoyed hunting, quading, target practice, and anything to do with the outdoors. He enjoyed watching sports and was an avid Oilers fan.
Dave is survived by his loving bride of 29 years Wannetta; children: Cory (Terry) Hamilton, Joni (Warren Mann) Hamilton, Len (Monica) Clarke, Meryl (Jamie) Clarke and Tyler (Alison) Clarke; grandchildren: Jori, Shaundra, Braylea, Brody, Dylan, Colby, Daiten, Keaton, Kendra, Emmett and Norah; great-grandchildren: Aubrey and Everett; mother Lillian Hamilton; brothers: Terry (Myrna) and Allan (Anna); and sister Cheryl (Cam) Ness; brothers in-law: Doug (Fran) Diepdael, and Les (Candy) Diepdael; and sister in-law Marie (Crusty) Diepdael.
Dave was predeceased by his father Ralph, sister Heather and brother in-law Alex Diepdael.
A Memorial Service will take place on Sunday, April 2, 2017, at 2:00pm at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave.).
Memorial donations may be made in Dave’s name to Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada AB and NWT Division (150, 9405 50 St., Edmonton, AB, T6B 2T4).
