Obituary for David Knight
Knight, David Franklin: December 23, 1931 – October 21, 2017
Passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 21st, 2017 at home surrounded by the love of family at the age of 85. David, will be missed by Marion (nee Taylor), his wife of 62 years. Loving father of Rob (Laura), Jennifer Knight (Gianni Peveroni), and Susan Knight (Todd Perreault). Much loved Grandpa to Jordan, Christopher, Daniel, Luca, Anna, Marco, Jordyn, Riley, Aaryn, and Great Grandpa to Juliana, Tatyana, Avery, Layla, and Dominic. Survived by his brother Robert (Carole), sister Elizabeth Raven, and sister-in-law Shirley Armstrong. He will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Long time teacher and coach who impacted and influenced hundreds of students and players. Spent many enjoyable years with Marion as a couple Square dancing throughout Ontario.
David’s family will receive relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener from 2 pm – 4 pm on Monday, October 23, 2017 & from 12 pm – 12:45 pm on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 with a funeral service following at 1:00 pm. Reception to follow at the funeral home. Private interment at Uxbridge Cemetery, Uxbridge.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to Queen’s University Coaching Leadership would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
