Darrel Edward Moody – (May 29, 1941 – June 5, 2017)

DARREL EDWARD MOODY May 29, 1941 – June 5, 2017 Darrel passed away on June 5, 2017 at Biggar Hospital after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife Heather (Smith), son Kalen, sister Mary Francis Schmidt, brothers Burke (Lois), Pat (Audrey), father-in law Reid Smith, mother-in-law Orpha Smith and brothers–in-law Bernie (Angie), Bill (Jane), Jason, Derek and Colin Smith, and several nieces and nephews. Darrel was predeceased by his parents Tom and Carmel Moody, his sister Ann, brother-in-law John Schmidt and sister-in-law Carmel. Darrel was born and raised in Perdue and lived there all his life. After graduating from grade 12 he worked at various jobs one of which was operating earth movers to build the Diefenbaker dam. He then started his business career which included a Redi-mix business, farming and selling farm equipment. He along with his two brothers farmed and operated Moody’s Equipment for many years. After retiring from the equipment business he continued to farm until his passing. Darrel was very passionate about everything he did. He worked very hard to get things done properly especially when it came to building something or reconditioning used equipment. Darrel was always ready and willing to step in and help people especially those in trouble.
