Kindervater, Daisy Charlotte – Age 93 of Upper Musquodoboit, passed away December 10, 2017 in Braeside Home for Special Care, Middle Musquodoboit. Born in Centre Musquodoboit, she was a daughter of the late Walter and May (Reid) Matheson.
Daisy loved music, particularly fiddle music, which she enjoyed at the Seniors Club in Upper Musquodoboit. She was a homemaker who took pride in her housekeeping.
Surviving are son, Tom (Marlene), Truro; Carol Cummins, Upper Musquodoboit; grandchildren, Rhonda (Michael), Derek (Staci), Colleen Kindervater; Krista, Michael (Karla) Cummins; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Goldie Gates, New Minas; Connie Wheeler, New Hampshire. She was predeceased by husband, Milton; son-in-law, Doug Cummins; brothers, George, Wendell, Garnet, Ronald; sister, Isabel.
Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held Thursday, December 14 at 2 p.m. in Hillcrest Cemetery, Upper Musquodoboit, Rev. Alice Rutherford officiating. The family will meet friends downstairs in St. James United Church following the service. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
Many thanks to the staff of Braeside for the excellent care our mother received while she was a resident there.
Arrangements are under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit.
