Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on Tuesday, February 21, 2017, Cyril White of Carbonear, formerly of Salmon Cove, age 88 years. Predeceased by wife: Lorraine; granddaughter: Melanie; parents: William and Lizzie; brother: Edward; sister: Ursula. Leaving to mourn, three sons: Hayward (Cavelle), Carbonear, Ronald (Joan), Port Blandford, and Larry (Geraldine), Carbonear; six grandchildren: Stephanie (David), Steven, Vanessa, Jennifer, Christopher, Ryan (Stephanie); ten great-grandchildren: Lauren, Steven, Morgan, Emily, Matteau, Lasha, Keita, Hailey, Lily, and Alyssa; four brothers: Harold (Gertie), Graham (Ada), Clyde (Elspeth), and Norman (Heather); three sisters: Lillian (Ron), Mildred, and Dorothy; brother-in-law: Clyde Tucker; also a number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel’s Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Wednesday, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Thursday, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Friday, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Friday, February 24 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel’s Memorial Chapel, Carbonear. Interment in Riverside United Church Cemetery, Salmon Cove. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
