Cheryl Maxine Cross, 66, of Priestville, formerly of Westville, passed away suddenly at home on Friday, September 29, 2017.
Born in Westville, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Catherine Sarty.
She worked at the Evening News for many years and the Aberdeen Hospital for 13 years.
She will be dearly missed by sons Jason (Melissa), Springville; Tony, Salem; grandchildren Keagan and Kenzie, whom she loved all very much; sisters, Valerie Jordan (Jamie); Faye Kennedy (John), Westville; Heather Sarty, New Glasgow; her best friend Debbie Rector, who family adopted as their chosen sister; dear friends Vernon and Phyllis who were always there for her; and her beloved fur babies “Angel” and “Buddy”.
She was predeceased by her brothers Ronnie, Bobby, and Curtis Sarty; nieces Janet Jordan and Lisa Kennedy; and numerous aunts and uncles.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no funeral or visitations. There will be a grave side committal service held 1 o’clock Friday at Heatherdale Memorial Gardens with Rev. Darlene Jewers officiating. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to help her family with expenses.
