Courtney Belyea
Courtney Belyea, 91, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at
the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont University Hospital on Wednesday, March 8,
2017. Born in Amherst, NS, she was the daughter of the late Wilmot G.
and Evelyn (Chapman) Miller.
Courtney was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and
friend to all who knew her. She was a member of St. John’s
United Church, past President and long time member of the University
Women’s Club, the YWCA, the Gyrettes, the Women’s
Probus Club of South East New Brunswick and the Beaver Curling Club.
Courtney took great pride in her flower gardens, enjoyed travelling
and spending time at the cottage with her family.
Courtney will be sadly missed by her children, Gordon Belyea
(late Ivy) and Peggy DeWare, both of Moncton, Lesley McDavid (Ken) of
Stettler, AB and Stuart Belyea (Kim) of Moncton; grandchildren, Alex
and Emily DeWare, Brad McDavid (Natasha) and Adam McDavid (Holly), as
well as many extended family members. In addition to her parents, she
was predeceased by her husband, Ralph Walter Belyea (Nov. 2012) and
sister, Janet.
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road,
Moncton (858-1995) on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 pm. A Service to
celebrate and honor Courtney’s life will be held at
Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, March 13, 2017 at 1:30 with
The Rev. Aaron Billard officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home
Reception Centre following the service. Interment will be held in
Elmwood Cemetery in the spring.
In memory of Courtney, donations to the Alzheimer Society or
the Friends of The Moncton Hospital would be appreciated by the
