Byrne, Cornelius Jeremiah “Neil” … Passed away
unexpectedly at Hospice Wellington, Guelph, on Wednesday July 5, 2017
at the age of 61. Cherished husband of Yvette Bilodeau. Loving
brother of Marion Byrne, Geraldine Kent (Gary), Jim Byrne (Shelley),
Christine Moore (Rod), Jerry Byrne (Nancy), Barry Byrne (Mary), Donnie
Byrne, Georgina Pollock (Bill), the late Keith Byrne (Kathy), the late
John Byrne, the late Jeanette Byrne and the late Barbara Ann Byrne.
Predeceased by his parents Jerry and Alice Byrne. Neil will also be
sadly missed by his numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews,
great nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Neil served 10
years in our Canadian Armed Forces. He was a member of the Royal
Canadian Legion, the Knights of Columbus and the Lions Club. Neil had
a very active itinerary with these organizations vying for his time.
He has donated to the Red Cross an amazing 189 times. Neil was a
baseball/softball umpire for 25 years and an avid bowler. Over the
years, Neil has given a lot of time to his community. At Neil’s
request cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held
at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 333 Speedsville Road, Cambridge, on
Sunday July 30, 2017 from 1-4p.m. As an expression of sympathy,
donations made to Hospice Wellington would be greatly appreciated by
the family. Arrangements entrusted to Corbett Funeral Home,
Cambridge.
