January 20, 1931 – July 12, 2017
Claude Valcourt passed peacefully in his home with his family by his side on July 12, 2017 at the age of 86 years.
Claude was born on January 20, 1931 in Scotstown, Quebec to Sylvio and Fabiola Valcourt who predeceased him.
He leaves behind his children Bruno, Michel, Darlene (Joe) Monette, Chad Wabigwan, and Lisa (Hank) Bisaillon. He was predeceased by his special friend The Late Delvine Wabigwan.
Claude was the cherished grandpa of Marc, Madeline, Amber, Gabriel, Brayden and The Late Stephane.
He was the loving brother of Georgette, Normand, Victor, Claudette, Hugette, Robert, Pierre and The Late Roger and The Late Luc.
Claude worked for many years at Birchland Veneer. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and camping. He will be missed by many including his beloved dog Rosie.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Amy and the other caregivers who helped care for their dad. They would also like to thank family and friends who made it possible to bring their dad home, fulfilling his last wish.
Family and friends may call at The Beggs Funeral Home in Thessalon, Ontario 705-842-2520 on Friday, July 14, 2017 between 1pm and 3pm followed by service in the funeral home chapel with Charlie Martin officiating. Interment in Maple Ridge Cemetery.
