Althouse, Clara May – 1927 – 2017
Peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital on February 4th, 2017, in her 90th year. Predeceased by her parents Ernest & Hazel Oliver and husband Glen. Loving mother of Darlene (Tom) Mothe, Roy (Eryx Thomson), and Sharlene (Nino) Zotti. Proud Grandma of Steve (Andrea) Mothe, Erin Mothe, Dawn (Bryce) Taylor, and Olivia and Sofia Zotti. Cherished Great Grandma of Edyn and Emma Taylor, and Dominic & Sarah Mothe. Survived by sister Lila Holmes and many nieces and nephews. Also sister-in-law Alice Symic and brother-in-law Larry Althouse, both of Edmonton. Special thanks to the staff of Aberdeen Gardens which was home to Clara for 15 years. Their commitment and ongoing care of her will be well remembered by her family. Clara’s family will receive friends at the LG WALLACE Funeral Home, 151 Ottawa St. N (905-544-1147) on Thursday, February 9 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of Clara’s life will be on Friday, February 10 at 11 am in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens following the reception on Friday. In lieu of flowers, donations to Community of Christ Church (Hamilton) or the Diabetes Association will be graciously accepted.
