C. Eric Caines, age 87 of Halifax, passed away December 12, 2017, at the Melville Lodge. Born in Halifax, he was the son of Jacob and Mary Elizabeth Caines. Eric was actively involved in the Halifax Curling Club and the Saraguay Club. In his 60s, Eric chose to attend university and attained a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Diploma in Criminology. For many years, Eric was the owner of MacKay-Jollimore Insurance Adjustors prior to becoming Director of Claims for the NS Department of Transportation from which he retired.
