Celia Bursey
CELIA (FENIAK) BURSEY
Celia went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 27, 2017 at the age of 89. Celia will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of 62 years, Gerald; children, Sharon (Grant), Gerald (Cheryl), and Ross (Mary Anne); six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Also left to cherish her memory is her sister, Lil (Rudy) Hopner; her sister-in-law, Gay (Walter) Fiander; brother-in-law, William (Sheila) Bursey, along with numerous nieces and nephews as well as their families, many who thought of her as their second mother. Celia will be fondly remembered by her friends and neighbours who became part of her extended family.
Celia was a godly woman who influenced all who knew her. She had a zest for life and learning. In her younger years she proudly served her country as a WREN in the Royal Canadian Navy where she met her husband, Gerald. She worked outside of the home for many years but her greatest joy, besides the Lord, was her family and friends.
Please join us in celebrating her life on December 5, 2017, 2 PM at Braemar Baptist Church (7407 – 98 Avenue, Edmonton). Interment to follow at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Celia’s memory can be made to Gull Lake Baptist Camp (Site 1, Box 6, RR #3, Lacombe, AB T4L 2N3) or a charity of one’s choice.
