On February 27, 2017, Catherine Lekochinsky of Bruderheim, AB, formerly of Radway, AB, passed away at the age of 85 years.
Catherine is survived by her son, Stephen (Joan) of Edmonton; daughters, Judy (Gerry) Sawchuk of Edmonton and Brenda Gendron of Ardrossan; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Edmond (Myrna) Taras of Cranbrook, Ronald (Katie) Taras of Edmonton, Virginia Olsen of Stony Plain, and Helen (George) Massuia of Edson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Walter; parents, John and Bernice; and two brothers, Arthur and Alfred.
The family wishes to thank the staff at the Lamont Health Care Centre, especially Diane Ruether, for the care and compassion Catherine received.
A Celebration of Catherine’s Life will be announced at a later date. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to the Lamont Health Care Centre, Box 479, Lamont, AB T0B 2R0 or STARS – Alberta Shock Trauma Air Rescue Society, Suite #100, 1519 – 35 Avenue East, Edmonton International Airport, AB T9E 0V6.
