Catharine “Dolores” Stephenson
February 10, 1922 – January 27, 2017
Born February 10, 1922 in Orillia, Ontario. Passed away peacefully at Sprucedale Care Centre, Strathroy, Ontario, on Friday, January 27, 2017, at the age of 94. Beloved wife of the late Lorne Douglas Stephenson. Predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Zeta Callon (nee Arbour). Loving mother of Lorne and his wife, Susan, and Glen and his wife, Kate. Very proud and loving grandmother of Megan, Devon, Braden, Alex and Maggie. Dear sister of Theodore, Cyril, Elena, Thomas, Zeta and Patrick (all predeceased). Dolores loved time spent with her family in the outdoors of Northern Ontario; she was an avid knitter, seamstress, quilter and baker and enjoyed the game of bridge with her friends. She belonged to the Catholic Women’s League and the Probus Club. She was on the Hospital Auxillary, and volunteered with many other community organizations. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Cobourg (corner of Division and University) on Monday, January 30, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. Friends will be greeted by the family at the church from 1 p.m. until service time.
