Caroline “Carol” Virginia Broussard
Broussard, Caroline V. “Carol”, It is with great
sadness that we announce the passing of our beautiful sister, aunt and
dear friend, Carol Broussard. Carol died December 29, 2017 at St.
Martha’s Hospital, after her courageous battle with
Carol worked at St. F.X. for 35 years as a chef, as well as
at Levy’s in Antigonish and the École Acadienne de Pomquet.
She was a member of the Strait Area Ground Search and Rescue and
played on the Kell’s Angels Softball Team as well as the
Nova Scotia Senior Women’s Softball Team.
Carol loved to take small trips with her sister Julie, sister
in-law Marie and niece Chrissy. As a true Montreal Canadians fan, she
travelled often to Montreal to watch hockey games with her niece
Chrissy. She was very special and loved by everyone.
She is survived by her brother Simon (Marie), sisters Julie,
Shirley (Stewart), sisters in-law Isabelle and Therese, special nieces
Mary (Curtis), Chrissy (Kevin), Pauline (David) and Edmund (Loretta)
as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is pre-deceased by her
brothers Joe and Jerry and her sisters Josephine, Anne, Margaret and
Theresa. She also leaves behind her furry friend,
Visitation will be in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College
Street, Antigonish on Tuesday. January 2nd, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.
Funeral Mass will be held in Ste. Croix Church, Pomquet on Wednesday
at 11:00 am with Reverend Andrew Gillis presiding. Burial of ashes at
a later date.
Donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at St.
Martha’s Hospital, Antigonish, or the charity of
one’s choice. Family flowers only please. Online
