Dewey, Carole Margaret (1946-2017) – Born in Madsen Ontario, Carole passed away at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on October 22nd, at the age of 71.
Carole is survived by her son James Boyer (Laurie Balise) and her grandchildren, Patrick and Shannon Boyer and Hannah and Marina Roberts, who reside in Everett Washington. She will be dearly missed by her 3 sisters, Jan Robertson (Huntsville), Jamie Patrick (Ottawa), and Kim Heins (Guy Seguin)(North Bay), as well as her niece Chelsey Heins (Toronto), and nephew Cody Heins (North Bay).
Carole spent her entire career devoted to helping others as a nurse. Carole had the fortune to work in San Francisco, where her son was born, as well as Hawaii, Sudbury and then Vancouver. Carole worked for 27 years at the Vancouver General Hospital in palliative care where her passion was fulfilled.
A short service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday October 28th, HILLSIDE FUNERAL SERVICES, 362 Airport Rd.
Special thank-you to the wonderful staff at the NBRHC in CCU and the Palliative Care. We appreciate the kindness you showed towards Carole and we know she did as well.
In lieu of flowers, a small donation to the North Bay Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.
