We, the family, regret to announce the sudden passing of Brian Joseph Woodfine, of Sydney Mines, on Friday, October 27, 2017, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, at the age of 52, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in North Sydney on March 9, 1965, Brian was the son of Thomas and Lorraine (MacIntyre) Woodfine, Sydney Mines.
Brian was always a very busy man with some kind of project on the go, from anything to do with cars right down to cooking. Brian worked for the CBRM Public Works North Division, where he had lots of great friends.
Brian leaves behind his loving partner Dawn Roberts. Brian is also survived by his children; son Brian (Megan) Woodfine, daughter Ashley Woodfine, siblings Mary (Paul) Woodfine, Wilfred (Debbie) Woodfine, Sheldon (Lana) Woodfine, and Paul (Letha) Woodfine. Brian had four grandchildren which he adored; Mya, Alexa, Landen, and Ayla. Brian also leaves behind his loving nieces and nephews; Catherine, Robert, Justin, Spencer, Rebecca, Alyssa, and Michael.
Visitation for the late Brian Woodfine will take place (today) Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. in J. M. Jobes Funeral Home, 635 Main St., Sydney Mines.
A funeral Mass to celebrate Brian’s life will take place Tuesday at 10am, in Holy Family Church, Sydney Mines with Fr. James Oliver officiating. The burial will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery, Sydney Mines.
