Blandina Ente Balistoy
A loving Mother, Grandmother, Greatgrandmother, Blandina Ente Balistoy, age 87 passed into God’s hands from the Peter Lougheed Hospital last December 03, 2017. A widow at 28, an involved loving mother, a nurturing grandmother, and doting great grandmother. She was a wonderful example of faith, hope and charity. Blandina or “Nanan” to all her grandchildren was born June 02, 1930 in Pilar, Bohol, Philippines. She will be forever missed but remembered by her children; Remedios Agustin (Rey), Marita Vasquez, Melita Varona (Ramon), and Sarah Mitten (Jeff). She has 11 grandchildren; Bhong, Rayner, Venus, John Ray, Raymond, Darling, Christine, Ramel, Charmaine, Rachel, Froilan, Jessa and great grandchildren; Kyle, Von, Redd, Angel, Gabe, Ysha, Liv, Aria and EJ. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Peter Lougheed Hospital Unit 39. A funeral service will take place on Friday, December 8th, 2017 at Eden Brook Funeral Home (17 Ave. SW in Lower Springbank Rd.) Calgary, AB @ 10:00 am. Funeral mass and burial will follow at 1 pm. She of beautiful heart and unwavering faith in God will always be lovingly remembered by all that her life has touched. “Death leaves a heart ache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal”.
