It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend on Thursday, September 14, 2017 aged 44 years. Predeceased by his father Carl and father-in-law Michael Ryan, brother-in-law Andy Somerton. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife Cathy, precious daughter Emma, mother Margaret, mother-in-law Rita Somerton, sister Sylvia (Eric Freake) brother Barry (Stephanie), nieces Cassidy and Cali Diamond and nephew Mark Freake, sisters-in-law Betty Martell (Stevie), Peggy Kent(Charlie), Jeannie Somerton (Bill), Mary Rees (Clyde), Annie Somerton (Glen), Theresa Somerton (Hubie) brothers-in-law Eugene Somerton (Blanche),Billy Somerton (Judy), Edward Somerton, Joey Somerton (Sheryl), special friend Rodney Powell, a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family, and close friends. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the Salvation Army Citadel, 25 Adams Avenue, St. John’s on Saturday, September 23, at 2:00 pm with a reception to follow at the church hall. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Berkley’s memory may be made to a school fund for daughter, Emma.
