Barry Phelan

Barry Phelan

Barry Phelan, of Edmonton, AB, passed peacefully in the company of his family on December 26, 2016. He loved and was loved by all he knew, and was comforted by this knowledge through to the end of his days.
Barry was born to Albert and Gertrude Phelan on February 18, 1950. A smart child grew to be an intelligent man. With an affinity for mathematics, Barry took to the electrician trade with a fervor. He took pride in the work he did, and made many a friend due to his strong work ethic.
Barry was married in 1971, and had two children, Sean and Angela. When he married again in 1993, he was welcomed again as a father to his wife’s three children, Kim, Kenny, and Lorrie.
His unconditional love for all of his children was evident to all who knew him. Left to remember Barry are his wife, Faith; children: Sean (Helen) Phelan, Angela (Ashley) Moroz, Kim (Ken) Josok, Kenny (Wilma) McHale, Lorrie MacPherson; brothers, Brian (Jan) Phelan, and Bruce (Linda) Phelan; 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and friends too numerous to count. His generosity of spirit and love for his fellow man never left him wanting for friend or company. We should all be so blessed as he.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Connelly – McKinley St. Albert Funeral Home, 9 Muir Drive, St. Albert, Alberta.
