Mr. Barry Lush
Jun 23, 1929 – Dec 26, 2016
June 23, 1929 – December 26, 2016 – With the same courage in which he lived, Barry Winfield Lush, finally let go in his 88th year. Born in Hamilton, Barry enjoyed a childhood of adventure with his late siblings, Peter and Barbara. The passions in his life were family, farming, running and animals. With the Hamilton Olympic Club, he competed in the Boston, New York and Detroit Marathons and the 1954 British Empire Games, as well as the 1955 Pan American Games in Mexico. For 60 years he shared his life with his wife, Marion and divided his work between Lush Realty Corporation and farming in Owen Sound. Family was paramount to Barry and he raised his three children, Curt, predeceased, Laura, and Barb in the same positive and compassionate spirit he led his life. He also leaves behind his beloved grandson, Jack-Curtis, of whom he was so very proud and various nieces and nephews. Finally, he leaves behind his dog, Buddy, who always shared a space in his bed with him.
