1932 – 2017
Miramichi – Barbara Dorothy (Green) Watling, widow of the late D. Harry Watling of the Miramichi Senior Citizens Home and formerly of Black River Bridge passed away at her late residence on Monday morning October 23, 2017 at the age of 85.
Born in Chatham, on June 28, 1932 she was the daughter of the late Harold and Pearl (Craig) Green. Barb was a homemaker. She attended St. Stephen’s United Church, a member of the choir and was a Sunday School Teacher.
She is survived by five daughters Donna Walker (Allen) of Niagara Falls, Leah Conroy (Roger) of Black River Bridge, Dorothy Watling of Black River Bridge, Sherry Beach of Edmonton and Janet McAllister (David) of Black River Bridge; three sons Harry Watling (Christina) of Niagara Falls, David Watling (Elizabeth) of Black River Bridge and Keith Watling (Janice) of Mississauga; four sisters Hazel Green of Miramichi, Lillian Wilcox of Grand Manan, Winnifred Mooney of Vancouver Island and Alice Ann Langille of Greenwood; sixteen grandchildren and twenty one great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, husband D. Harry Watling, one son Bliss Watling, one infant brother Harold Frederick.
Visiting will be held at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., Miramichi on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held at St. Stephen’s United Church, Black River Bridge on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at 2 pm, conducted by David Allan B.A. M.Div. Interment will be in the Black River Community Cemetery.
