Care Centre, Burin, NL, on Friday, Nov. 17, 2017, BARBARA ANN
McCARTHY, of Terrenceville, NL, in her
62nd year. Leaving to mourn her
husband William (Bill), daughters Nicole McCarthy (Kirk Clarke),
Terrenceville, Julie McCarthy, Terrenceville, grandchildren Emily
Clarke, Blackfalds, AB, Kelsey Clarke and William
Clarke, Terrenceville; brothers William Hickey (Pam), Terrenceville,
Cyril Hickey (Trudy), Medicine Hat, AB, sisters Zita Byrd (George),
Terrenceville, Elizabeth Pierce (Fred), Fortune, Sheila Smith
(Bernard), Fortune, Mildred Byrd (Albert), Terrenceville, brother in
law Norm McCarthy, Terrenceville, sister in law Jean McCarthy
(Robert), Bedford, NS; Special friends Sheila McCarthy, Medicine Hat,
AB, Diane Hackett, Evelina Myles, Irene Myles, Audrey Hynes, and
Charlene Coombs, Terrenceville and Carrie Lavhey, Garnish; and a large
circle of other relatives and
friends.
Barbara is predeceased by her parents
William J. Hickey and Julia (Cox) Hickey and parents in law William
McCarthy Sr. and Irene (Mitchell)
McCarthy.
Resting at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic
Church, Terrenceville after 3 pm on Saturday and on Sunday from 10 am
– 9 pm. The funeral service will be held at St.
Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Terrenceville, on Monday,
November 20, 2017 at 11:00 am.
At Barbara’s request, cremation
will follow. Inurnment will be at the Roman Catholic Cemetery in
Terrenceville at a later
date.
Flowers are gratefully accepted or a donation, in
Barbara’s memory, may be made to the Canadian Cancer
Society.
