Obituary for Antonia VanSchyndel
Peacefully, on Tuesday July 4, 2017 at Bluewater Health, Sarnia, Antonia Maria VanSchyndel (nee VanBoxmeer) passed away to be at home with the Lord and her loving husband at the age of 90. Toni was the beloved wife to the late Joe VanSchyndel (2010). The two moved to Canada in 1952 and settled in Wyoming to raise their 8 children: Katherine (Thomas) Euteneier and their children Simon (Jessica), Evan and Dylan (Olivia); Adrian (Barb) VanSchyndel and their children Brian, Michelle (Jim), Mark (Amy); Wilma Taylor and her children Jennifer (Darryl) and Rebecca (Max); John (Gwen) VanSchyndel and their son Mitchel (Jess); Nancy (Brian) Ries and their children Kimberly (Andrew), Elizabeth (Marty) and John; Tim (Deb) VanSchyndel and their children Kristine and Jeff (Brenna); Rita (Doug) Peters and children Jessica (Paul), Rena (Kyle), Robert and Jolene; Sheila (Randy) Cunningham and their children Nathan, Eric and Jacob. Toni was the proud great grandmother and oma to Emma, Oliver, Chloe, Nile, Holly, Daniel, Jack, Kalista, Ava and Noah. Toni was predeceased by two brothers, Harry and Driek and two sisters, Mien and Betsy. We are so grateful for all the loving care she received over the last few years. Thank you to the entire Palliative Care Team at St. Joseph’s Hospice, Bluewater Health, CCAC, London Cancer Clinic, pastoral care and everyone who lovingly touched her precious life. She will be sadly missed. Visitors will be received by the family on Thursday from 6-9 pm at the WYOMING CHAPEL, 650 Broadway St. Wyoming with Parish Prayers at 8:45pm. A funeral mass will take place on Friday, July 7, 2017 at 10am at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church, 1011 Oak Ave. Sarnia. Interment in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Wyoming.
