Obituary of Anna Emrich
Passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Winston Park, age 97 years.
Dear wife of the late Johann Emrich who passed away in 1944. Loving mother of Ann (Laimon) Eichvald, John (Eva) Emrich and Michael (Rose) Emrich. Beloved grandmother to Robert (Tanya) Eichvald, Lisa (Steve) Baldock, Stephanie (Andrew) Lo and Rebecca Emrich. Also survived by 8 great grandchildren. Sister of Mary (Philip) Wilging, Katie Hanek and Sophie Hendel.
Predeceased by her parents Johann and Sofia Emrich, a granddaughter Sandra Handbury, a great grandson Adrian Davis, her brother John Emrich and his wife Sophie, her brother Michael, her infant sister Sofia and brothers-in-law Mike Hanek and John Hendel.
Anna was born in Heidendorf, Transylvania Romania on October 13, 1919 and was the oldest of seven children. She and her family immigrated to Canada in 1950, settling in the Kitchener-Waterloo area. Anna worked for many years at Cluette-Peabody (Arrow Shirts) until her retirement.
The family is sincerely grateful for all the care and support given by the excellent staff at Winston Park Long Term Care facility.
Friends and relatives are invited to share their memories of Anna with her family during visitation on Thursday, December 29, 2016 from 7-9 pm at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home 171 King St. S., Waterloo. The funeral service to celebrate her life will take place at 2pm on Friday, December 30, 2016 in the chapel of the funeral home. Reception will follow in the Fireside Reception Room. Private family interment in Mount Hope Cemetery.
