In hospital with family by her side on Sunday March 26, 2017 Anna Burns (Downey) at the age of 92. Loving wife of the late Joe Burns. Cherished mother of Arlene (Burke Blanchfield), Janet McEvoy, Margaret Ann (Larry Shields), Brian and the late Lawrence (Gail) and Doug (Terry). Adored by thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Linus Downey (Madeline), Margaret (late Mike Quinn), Viola (late Allan Turner), Leo (Evangeline), Bev Lefurgy and the late Jim Downey (late Edna), Loretta (late Keith McGuire) and Oswald Downey (Joan). Always remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Daley Family Funeral Home, (6971 Bank Street between Scrivens Drive and Metcalfe Corner) from 2-4 & 7-9 pm on Thursday, March 30th. Funeral Friday March 31st to St. John the Evangelist Church, 2546 Stagecoach Rd. Enniskerry for Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am. In lieu of flowers donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 100-1101 Prince of Wales Dr. Ottawa, ON K2C 3W7 would be appreciated.
