SORENSEN; Ann, age 98, of Cabri, SK passed away at the Prairie Health Care Centre on June 22, 2017. The Memorial Service was held Thursday, July 6, 2017 at 1:00 pm from the Chapel of Warren’s Funeral Home with Father Anthony Padayatty officiating. The Interment Service will be held at the Cabri Community Cemetery at a later date. Ann was born in Meadow Lake in 1917, and attended school and worked in the Meadow Lake area until she moved to Cabri in and around the late 1930’s, to work as the cook for the Cabri Hospital. She married Harold Sorensen in 1940 I believe, and had two sons Greg in 1943 and Ken in 1945. Ann worked hard as a farmers wife working in the fields and hauled grain, while also tending to the needs of her family at the same time. Ann loved to play bridge and played well into her 90’s. Ann also took up the sport of golf in her later years and golfed pretty much weekly at the Cabri golf course. Ann was also active with the hospital auxiliary for over fifty years. In her memory, memorial donations may be made to Breast Cancer Research or the Alzheimer Society. Warren’s Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
