Ann Elizabeth Williamson passed away peacefully Saturday, March 11th, 2017 with her husband Kevin by her side. Ann was born November 1, 1960 in Toronto, ON. In 1974 Ann moved with her family to Alberta where she resided for the remainder of her life. Ann graduated high school from Dr. E.P. Scarlett and went on to graduate with a diploma in Hospitality and Tourism from SAIT. During that time, she met Kevin Williamson, her husband of 35 years. Together they worked in the family pet food business, High Mountain Feed Distributors. In 2011, Ann moved on to follow her passion for literature and returned to SAIT, this time for a diploma in Library Information Technology. Ann enjoyed working for the last 4 years as a Library Assistant with the Airdrie Public Library.
Ann is lovingly remembered by her husband, Kevin; her children, Matthew (Becky) Williamson of Holly, Michigan and Karen Williamson of Airdrie; her mother, Helen Beck of Calgary; her brothers, Murray (Johanne) Beck of Calgary and Chris (Susan) Beck of Calgary; and her sister, Jeannine Beck (Darren) Merino of Cochrane; and extended family.
The family would like to thank the Palliative Care Team at Tom Baker, Unit 47.
A Celebration of Ann’s Life will be held at Apple Creek Golf Course, 11064 TWP Road 275, Rockyview, AB (North of Airdrie) on Saturday, March 18, 2017 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm.
Donations may be made in memory of Ann to Ellis Bird Farm, Box 5090, Lacombe, AB, T4L 1W7 in support of her love of wild birds.
