Obituary Overview
Ann Elizabeth Clutson
CLUTSON, Ann Elizabeth of Halifax passed away peacefully early on Monday, December 4, 2017 aged 56 at her Halifax home surrounded by her family beneath a supermoon. Born on November 8, 1961 in Pembroke, Ontario, Ann was a loving daughter of the late Bill and Arolene (Cuddy) Roche from the Ottawa Valley. She is survived by her husband Michael; daughters Isabelle, Charlotte and Emily; sister Jane (Henry); brothers James (Warren), Philip and Dennis (Joyce), nephew Brennan and niece Alyssa; plus a wonderful extended family of cousins, aunts, uncles and close friends. Ann was educated in Ottawa prior to working abroad, and later as a busy parent traveling extensively with her husband and growing daughters across three continents. She was artistically intelligent and curious, with a passion for books, baking and history. Above all she will be remembered as a selfless, caring mother who dedicated her sadly shortened life to her family – and two adorable cats. With deep respect for Ann’s wishes there will be no general public visitation or funeral service, other than a private gathering of family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer or Red Cross Societies are most welcome. Ann’s family gratefully acknowledges the excellent hospital and homecare attention provided by the doctors, nurses and staff at Capital Health, NSHA Palliative Care Service and various supporting groups including the Greater Halifax area Victorian Order of Nurses (VON). Cremation and other arrangements have been made courtesy of Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Road, Halifax and messages of condolence may be sent to the family by visiting the Halifax chapel at www.atlanticfuneralhomes.com
