Obituary of Alvin Snider
SNIDER, Alvin Jerry
May 31, 1942 – December 6, 2017
On December 6, 2017 Alvin passed away at the age of 75 years with his family by his side, following a tough battle with cancer. Alvin was born in Fort Qu’Appelle, worked in Regina for many years, and retired in Balcarres, SK. Predeceased by his father Joe and mother Laura; Alvin is survived by his wife Betty; two daughters, Cathy Youck and Charlene (Kevin) Stephens; four grandsons, Samuel and Jonathan Youck, Jacob and Jordan Stephens; sisters, Violet Lucyk, Delores (Jim) Goldstone; brothers, Mervin (Myrna), Lawrence (Hazel), Dwight (Gladys), sister-in-law Reta Walkington; brother-in-law Lloyd Crossman; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Alvin was a hard working man and an excellent mechanic. He loved being outdoors. His passions in life were his family, fishing, boating and fixing. He was gifted with the knowledge to repair anything and when that motor started he would always smile! He had a good heart and helped many people over the years. His family will sadly miss him and the frequent visits they had together at Echo Lake where he enjoyed the peaceful surroundings in the valley. ‘Til We Meet Again.
A private visitation was held on December 9, 2017. A farewell luncheon will be held at a later date.
In memory of Alvin, monetary or food donations may be made to the Regina Food Bank, 445 Winnipeg St, Regina, SK S4R 8P2.
