1934-2017
The passing of Alton James Homan Fox of Fredericton, NB, husband of
Donalda (Page) Fox occurred Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at York Care
Centre. Born on January 31, 1934 in Southampton, NB, he was the son of
the late Cecil and Ella (Patterson) Fox. Alton worked for 40 years as
a cable splicer at NB Tel. He enjoyed volunteering at Nashwaaksis
Baptist Church; he was an NB Tel Pioneer, loved fishing, fly tying and
woodworking. His life was his family.
In addition to his wife, Alton is survived by his three daughters,
Deborah MacDonald (Douglas) of Fredericton, NB, Brenda Richardson
(Paul) of Shelburne, NS and Janet LaPointe (Brent) of Fielding, NB;
grandchildren, Jonathan MacDonald (Alicia), Natalie DuBois (Joshua),
Aaron Richardson, Luke Richardson, Nicholas LaPointe and Kirsten
LaPointe; great grandchildren, Afton, Jack, Ivy, Croy, Kaes and Lou
MacDonald, Aiden and Sarah DuBois; sister, Vivian Wallace (Earl) of
Cloverdale, NB; sister in law, Shirley Fox of Woodstock, NB; numerous
nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his
sister, Jennie Fox; brother, Barry Fox and nephew, Steven
Wallace.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive
on Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 6-9 pm. A Celebration of
Alton’s Life will take place at Nashwaaksis Baptist Church on
Friday, January 13, 2017 at 2 pm with Rev. Peter Thomas officiating.
Interment will take place in Douglas Rural Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the York Foundation.
