Alexander Watson “Alex” Jr.
Shearer – 67, North
River, passed away peacefully, with his loving family at his side, on
Friday, November 24, 2017, at Colchester East Hants Health Centre,
Truro. Born in Truro, he was a son of Florence (Blackmore) Shearer,
Belmont, and the late Alexander Shearer, Sr.
He enjoyed watching various shows on television and used that
as his “window to the world” to keep up with current
events.
Along with his mother, Alex is survived by his siblings,
Teddy (Marg), Roach (Leona), Russell, Eric (Donna), Terry Lynn (Kevin)
and an army of nieces and nephews. Along with his father, he was
predeceased by his siblings, Curtis (Odessa), Elmer (Marg), Geordie,
Perry. A very special thank you is extended to Gordie and Peggy for
their special care for Alex over the last 22 years.
Private family interment will be held at a later date. If so
desired, donations in Alex’s memory to Belmont Cemetery are
welcomed. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall –
Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. Private messages of
