Adrianna Van Oyen 25 novembre 1933 – 12 mai 2017

Jenny Van Oyen, beloved wife of Gerry of Calgary, passed away at the Peter Lougheed Centre on May 12, 2017 at the age of 83 years. Jenny excelled in making her “house” a “home”. What may seem like a daunting task to many was completed with ease and expertise. Her talent for cooking and baking was well-appreciated by her family, and without question there was always room for more guests at the table. Her kind and generous nature made strangers feel like old friends, and the relationships that she nurtured over the decades were treasured by all who knew her.
She was the loving mother of John of Calgary, Henry (Elaine) of Cochrane, Adriana of Calgary, Corey of Winnipeg, Monica (Deceased), Geraldine (Keith) of Winnipeg, Hans (Sandee) of California and Helene (Peter) of Calgary. Jenny will also be dearly missed by her eighteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and many family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, her siblings and her daughter.
Relatives and Friends are invited to Prayers at Mountain View Funeral Home (1605—100 Street SE, Calgary) on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Thomas More Parish (15 Templebow Rd NE, Calgary) on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. (viewing prior to mass at 9:30 a.m.). Graveside Service to follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens. If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to the donor’s choice .
