Obituary of Donald “Buddy” Amero
Donald “Buddy” Allison Amero, 71 of Aylesford passed away on December 17, 2017 in the Victoria General Hospital, Halifax. He was the son of the late Scott and Christina (MacDonnell) Amero.
Donald was a loyal member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Berwick Branch. He was a hard worker and worked as a concrete sawer and driller for 40 years before retiring. He had a passion for fishing and a love of country music.
Donald is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Bonita “Bonnie”(MacDonald) Amero; daughter Heather (Glendon) Miller; sons Allison (Tamara Aker) Amero; Jason (Theresa) Amero; grandchildren Devon (Cheyenne) Miller; Mitchell (Brittany) Miller; Matthew Miller; Caitlyn Miller; Ariel Aker; Victoria Dunbar; Robert “Bobby” Amero; Melina Amero and Becca Amero; brothers Dean (Gwendolyn); Alan (Phyllis); sisters Joyce; Stella (Ron) and Irene.
He was predeceased by sister Doris Daye; brothers Arnold Amero; Sheldon Amero and Aubrey Amero.
A Funeral Service will be held on December 23, 2017 at 2:00 pm in the Berwick Serenity Chapel with reception to follow in Allison’s home, 312 Bently Road, Berwick. Family Flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the Dialysis Unit, Dickson Bldg, Halifax, NS. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Berwick Funeral Chapel, 192 Commercial Street, Berwick (902-538-9900).
