Wilson, Lorraine (nee Duckworth)
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Lorraine Wilson at Margaret’s
Place Hospice on Thursday, February 6, 2025. She was predeceased by her beloved husband,
George Wilson, who passed away on July 14, 2003.
Lorraine will be lovingly remembered by her children: Patricia (John) Brown of Pike Bay, Cathy
(Tom) Williams of Dundas, Jo-Ann Thrasher of Dundas, and Karen (Mark) Furneaux of Hamilton.
She was a proud grandmother to Julie (Cheryl), Teresa, Bobbi-Lea (Garth), Johnnie (Ashley),
Tom, Scott, Frances (Eric), Daniel (Kayla), Katrina (Harvey), and Hanna (Adrian). Lorraine’s
cherished great-grandchildren include William, Devin, Tyler, Liam, Landon, Thomas, Patrick,
James, Susanna, Cassidy, and Sawyer.
She is also survived by her extended family: Ivan, Nancy, Sherri (Steve), and Steven (Kayla),
along with their children Emily and Alexander. Lorraine was the dear sister of Ida Gee and was
predeceased by her sisters Frances, Joyce, Audrey, Marjorie, Muriel, Rosemarie, and Patricia.
Friends are invited to join the family for visitation on Friday, February 14, from 2-4 PM and 7-9
PM at the Turner Family Funeral Home, 53 Main Street, Dundas. A service to celebrate
Lorraine’s life will be held on Saturday at 10:00 AM. Interment will take place at White Chapel
Memorial Gardens.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the compassionate staff at Margaret’s Place
Hospice, St. Joseph’s Villa. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lorraine’s memory may be made to
Margaret’s Place Hospice.
