William (Bill) Robinson
Jul. 3, 1937 – Feb. 20, 2025
In loving memory of William (Bill) Robinson. It is with heavy hearts that we announce Bill’s passing on Thursday, Feb. 20th, 2025 at the age of 87 years.
Bill left this world peacefully, at home, surrounded by his loving family. Born on July 3rd, 1937 to the late Harry and Gladys (nee Watt) Robinson in Toronto, Ontario. Owner-Operator of Robinson’s Contracting out of Sutton, Ontario for over 50 years before enjoying his retirement years between Citrus Park in Florida and Big Cedar Estates in Oro-Medonte, Ontario.
Survived by his beloved wife with whom he shared nearly 59 years of love, laughter and devotion, Cathy (nee McInnis), daughters Cindy Faria (Tony), Kimberley Stein (Shane), brother Gary Robinson (Joyce), sister-in-law Carolyn (nee McInnis) Rae (Merlyn), grandchildren Anthony and Jordan Faria, Kyla and Hailey Robinson, Jaiden and Zoie Stein and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by son Jim Robinson (Rachel), sister June Blum (Lou) and brother Jim Robinson (Phyllis).
Fondly remembered as a devoted husband and family man with a great sense of humour. Those who had the good fortune to know Bill enjoyed his one-liners and quick wit; there was always a twinkle in his eye.
He was a Musician (Founder and Drum Major of the Blue Angels Fife and Drum Band), avid reader, dog lover and liked to stay active. He enjoyed hockey, skiing, curling, golf and dancing with Cathy. When he wasn’t drumming, reading or playing, you could find him gardening or tinkering in his workshop.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Bill’s Life and Interment at Briar Hill Cemetery will take place at a future date.
