Obituary of William Lawrence “Larry” Langford
William Lawrence ‘Larry’ Langford died peacefully at Rotary Hospice Stratford, February 23rd 2025, in his 86th year.
Larry sadly lost his beloved wife and best friend of 54 years Una (Hoover) in 2020, and son Douglas in 2024. Dearly missed by Laurie, Kelly and Gord Lightfoot, and grandsons William (Ginger) and Ethan Agnew. Predeceased by his parents Wilbert and Mary; brothers George, Don, and Murray; sisters Betty (Bradshaw), Frances (Chapman), and Pat (Clare); in-laws Bob Chapman, Harry Johnson and Barb Langford. Fondly remembered by brothers Paul (Krys Klassen), Gordon; sister Wendy (Johnson); in-laws Harvey, Pat and Marg; Traci Langford, and extended Langford and Hoover families.
Larry retired from a long career with the London Free Press and enjoyed many happy years in his woodshop and with his cars and motorcycles. He was devoted to his family and showed his love through building, fixing and being involved in every reno or craft project.
Special thanks to the hospice, home care staff, and all the healthcare professionals who cared for Larry.
A celebration of life will be held March 29th 1:00-4:00pm at Caradoc Sands Golf Club. Arrangements entrusted to DENNING’S OF STRATHROY.
