NICHOLLS, William Joseph “Bill” – It is with deep sadness the family of William Nicholls announces his passing at Lookout Ridge. Bill was born September 8, 1925 and passed away January 3, 2025. He was predeceased by his wife Margaret Lenore Nicholls (2014). He will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Tim (Kris), Tom (Jean), Terry (Tracey) and Toby (Julie), daughter Tracey (Danny), 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Bill was the original builder and owner of Highlands Golf Club, currently Pelham Hills and a long-time employee of Stelco-Page Hersey. William was a Veteran of WW2 serving with the Royal Canadian Air Force. Bill will be remembered as a devoted husband, father and patriarch of the 5 T’s and their families and talented baker who enjoyed making tarts. Special thanks to Karen from St. Elizabeth’s and all the staff of Lookout Ridge for the wonderful care given to Dad. The family will receive their friends at the H. L. Cudney Funeral Home, 241 West Main Street, Welland on Thursday, January 9, 2025 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. followed by a service in the Cudney Chapel at 1 p.m. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation.
