In Loving Memory
FROST, Wanda Dawn – 70, of Tiddville, Digby County, Nova Scotia, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at the Annapolis Royal Nursing Home. Born on February 13, 1955, in Digby, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late John and Gertie (Frost) Gosson.
Wanda was known throughout the community for her radiant smile, engaging conversations, and love for a good joke or prank. She played an integral role in the family business, Boliver’s Service Center, where she worked as the receptionist and bookkeeper, always keeping Wayne in check. Wanda greeted every customer with warmth, often sharing homemade treats and making them feel like part of the family. Before joining the family business, Wanda worked in the local fish plants, where she formed lifelong friendships and gathered countless stories from her time there.
Wanda was beloved for her delicious peanut butter fudge and other sweet treats. She had a special way of remembering birthdays, often presenting a tray of her famous fudge or a favorite treat for someone she cared about. A trip to the store with Wanda was never quick, as she always found someone to catch up with in every aisle. Whether in person at the shop, on the phone, or in the grocery store, Wanda enjoyed connecting with people.
Wanda had many passions, including reading, caring for her plants, and watching TV, especially British shows and cooking programs. Above all, her family meant the world to her. She was overjoyed at the arrival of her only granddaughter, Ashlynn, and loved spoiling her during their weekly “My Dolls” shopping trips. She also kept Wayne on track with her never-ending “Honey Do” lists and enjoyed helping him look for deer during long drives.
Wanda is survived by her partner of 43 years, Wayne Boliver, of Tiddville, NS; her son, Jason (Sonya) Frost of New Edinburgh, NS; her stepdaughter, Connie (James) Schofield of Kingston, NS; her granddaughter and pride and joy, Ashlynn Frost of New Edinburgh, NS; her sisters, Rena (Dan) Stark of Digby, NS, Beverly (Joe) Gallant of Hubley, NS; Trisha (Tom) Ryan of Little River, NS; and her brothers, Wade (Lawna) Sullivan of Freeport, NS; Stephen (Pam) Sullivan of Windsor, NS; Sister in law Delores (George) Gyorke of New Hampshire ,, US. She is also survived by many aunts, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews, as well as her beloved cat, Tux (also known as Tuxie or Tuxifer).
Wanda was predeceased by her infant daughter, Jennifer; her brothers, Bobby and Ricky; and her stepfather, Wilfred Sullivan.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to all those who provided care for Wanda in her final years. We are forever grateful for the care and compassion shown to her.
As per Wanda’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A family graveside service will be held at a later date. Donations in Wanda’s memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
