Vivian Van Alstine (nee Timmerman) – passed away at the Kingston Health Sciences Centre on Friday, April 4, 2025. Pre-deceased by her husband Gordon Van Alstine. Cherished mother of Delbert (Dianne), Wayne (late Bonnie), Penny Martin (Darrell), Wilma Shatraw (David) and Gordon (Angela). She will always be remembered in the hearts of her grandchildren Melissa, Jason, Thomas (Emily), Chantle Shatraw (Justin), Carrie Shorts (Roger), Michelle Martin (Phil), Jamie Shatraw (Nicole), Jackie Currie (Chris) and by her great-grandchildren Alyssa Shorts, Izzy Van Alstine, Grayson Currie, Briar Shatraw, Maddie Currie, Charlie Van Alstine.
Vivian is pre-deceased by her siblings George, Georgian, Paul, Thomas, Ruthy, Clara, Rueben and Herman. She is pre-deceased by her brothers-in-law Ken, Violet, Donny, Sandy, Harold, Shirley, Cliff, Marjorie, Rita and survived by Bud Van Alstine, Art Van Alstine, Irene Kirkham (Wayne) and Bonnie Foster (Earl). She will be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. Vivian had previously worked in her younger years as a Ward Aide at KGH & Perth Hospital’s.
The family will receive friends at the Goodfellow’s Funeral Home, Parham on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 from 2-4pm & 7-9pm. Rebekahs Lodge Memorial at 6:45pm. The Funeral Service will take place in the Chapel on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Laidley Cemetery. Friends desiring may contribute in her memory to Princess Elizabeth Rebekahs Lodge#358 in Harrowsmith with appreciation. The family would like to sincerely thank the ER staff at KGH for the care & compassion they have provided.
