Peacefully, with his family by his side, Viktor Dietrich passed away on August 21, 2025 in his 76th year.
Born June 15, 1950 in Kopeysk, Russia, to a German family in the Soviet Union, Viktor’s early life under post-war communism instilled in him deep gratitude for the freedoms he later enjoyed. In 1989, he and his family immigrated to Germany under the reunification policies of Chancellor Helmut Kohl. He and his wife enjoyed spending the last decade between their homes near their children in Austria and Canada.
Beloved husband of Olga (Müller) for 50 years. Loving father of Larissa (Waldemar) Anselm of Aylmer, Ontario; Eduard (Lilia) of Aylmer, Ontario; Paul (Liane) of Dalaas, Austria; and Julia (Herbert) Hildebrandt of Aylmer, Ontario. Devoted grandfather of Lydia (Willy), Rebecca, Noah, Ruben, Tabitha, Sarah, Tobias, Janna, Benny, Lisa, Milena, Sven, Jonas, Janae, Marc, and David, and great-grandfather of Phillip.
A devoted follower of the Lord Jesus Christ, Viktor was a faithful member of the Church of God and attended the congregations in Wald, Austria, and Aylmer, Ontario. His faith in God was resolute and he is now resting in eternal peace.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 27, from 7–9 p.m. at the Church of God, 751 John St N, Aylmer. The funeral service will take place at the Church of God on Thursday, August 28, at 10 a.m., with Pastor Henry Hildebrandt officiating. Interment to follow at the Aylmer Cemetery.

Viktor Dietrich verstarb friedlich im Kreise seiner Familie am 21. August 2025 im Alter von 75 Jahren.
Er wurde am 15. Juni 1950 in Kopeisk, Russland, als Sohn einer deutschen Familie in der Sowjetunion geboren. Sein Leben im Kommunismus prägte ihn und weckte in ihm eine tiefe Dankbarkeit für die Freiheiten, die er später genießen durfte. 1989 wanderten er und seine Familie im Rahmen der Wiedervereinigungspolitik von Bundeskanzler Helmut Kohl nach Deutschland aus. Viktor und seine Frau verbrachten die letzten zehn Jahre in der Nähe ihrer Kinder in Österreich und Kanada.
Geliebter Ehemann von Olga (Müller). Liebevoller Vater von Larissa (Waldemar) Anselm von Aylmer, Ontario; Eduard (Lilia) von Aylmer, Ontario; Paul (Liane) von Dalaas, Österreich; und Julia (Herbert) Hildebrandt von Aylmer, Ontario. Großvater von Lydia (Willy), Rebecca, Noah, Ruben, Tabitha, Sarah, Tobias, Janna, Benny, Lisa, Milena, Sven, Jonas, Janae, Marc und David und Urgroßvater von Phillip.
Viktor war ein treues Mitglied der Gemeinde Gottes und besuchte die Ortsgemeinden in Wald, Österreich, und Aylmer, Ontario. Er liebte den Herrn Jesus Christus von ganzem Herzen und sein Glaube an Gott war unerschütterlich. Nun ruht er in ewigem Frieden.
Am Mittwoch, dem 27. August von 19-21 Uhr, findet die Aufbahrung in der Gemeinde Gottes, 751 John St N, Aylmer, statt. Die Beerdigung findet am Donnerstag, dem 28. August, um 10 Uhr in der Gemeinde Gottes statt, geleitet von Pastor Heinrich Hildebrandt. Anschließend folgt die Beisetzung auf dem Aylmer Friedhof.
