In Loving Memory of Tonipre Joyce Isokpan
November 27, 1969 – January 24, 2025
With heavy hearts but deep gratitude, we celebrate the extraordinary life of Tonipre Joyce Isokpan, a woman whose presence was a testament to love, faith, and grace. Born to Digimie Debo and Ikigimo Ikoli of Bayelsa State, Nigeria, she was a cherished gift to her family and everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Her beauty was undeniable, radiating naturally in a way that brightened any room she entered. But it was her heart that made her unforgettable. She had an unmatched ability to highlight the beauty in others, always speaking words of encouragement and making those around her feel seen, valued, and loved.
A true embodiment of God’s gifts and the fruits of the Spirit, she lived her life in service to others, filled with joy, kindness, and peace. Her unwavering faith shaped her every action and word, and she carried her favourite saying, “It is well,” as a constant reminder of God’s sovereignty, both in good times and in challenging ones.
She was a lifelong learner, especially of the Word of God, and her preparation for ministry reflected her deep connection to her faith. Though her ministry was never established in a traditional sense, it flourished spiritually through the lives she touched. Her prayers, wisdom, and encouragement became a lifeline for so many, bringing peace and hope to anyone she encountered.
Her love extended to the simple joys of life, especially baking, where she found delight in creating sweet treats and watching baking shows with enthusiasm. In every loaf of bread, every cake, and every recipe she tried, her care and thoughtfulness shone through, turning even the smallest acts into expressions of love.
Born and raised in Nigeria, she excelled academically, paving the way for a life of determination and purpose. She moved to England to provide her children with opportunities she dreamed of for them, and later to Canada, where her love and prayers continued to sustain her family and inspire her community.
A devoted mother of five, she was the very essence of strength, grace, and compassion. She was not only a mother but also a sister, daughter, aunt, wife, and friend who gave her all to those she loved. Her selflessness, wisdom, and faith left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
Though she has left this earthly life, her legacy lives on in the countless hearts she touched. Her love, beauty, and faith will continue to inspire and uplift all who remember her, a constant reminder of what it means to live with purpose and grace.
She leaves behind five beloved children, a lifetime of prayers and kindness, and an unshakable legacy of faith and love.
Rest peacefully, Tonipre.
Your beauty, both within and without, will continue to shine in our hearts forever.
