With heavy hearts the family of Sophia Zimoch announce her peaceful passing on Monday, November 25, 2024 at the age of 88. Surrounded by love and sent off with kisses into the loving arms of her husband Chester and her sister-in-law Ciotka Helen. Sophia is the loving and devoted mother of Christine Zimoch, Diane (Dave) Henry, Susie (Allan) Lucier and Amy (Paul) Buratto. Cherished Babchu to Dale, Sydney, Neal (Michelle), Kelsey (Joel), Jordan (Tyler), Halleigh, Allaina (Noah), Danielle (Josh), Mitchell, Kyra, Evan and to her great grandchildren Noah, Caleb, Eloise, Max, Reggie and Henry. Her family would like to sincerely thank all the staff at CKHA – Sydenham Campus and Fairfield Park Long Term Care for the wonderful care and support given to Sophia. Friends are welcome to join the family for visitation at the Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg (519-627-3231), on Thursday, November 28, 2024 from 5-8pm. Her Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at Holy Family Parish on Friday, November 29, 2024 at 11am after which she will be laid to rest beside her Chester in Riverview Cemetery.
