Shirley was a loving mother to David Ashton (Fe), the late Charlene Ashton, the late Alan Ashton (2022), Brenda Shadd (Nicholas) & Tracy Ashton.

Shirley is also survived by her sister, Ethel Marchand (the late Larry), and was predeceased by her siblings: Mary, Gloria, Vivian, Doris, Kay, Laura, Betty, Donna, Agnes, and Bill.
Shirley’s love extended to her great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family, all of whom will miss her dearly.
After retiring from many years of service with Maple Leaf Foods, Shirley enjoyed a life full of passions. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Ontario Health at Home and ProResp, whose support allowed Shirley to remain comfortably in her home. They would also like to thank the compassionate team at Chatham-Kent Hospice for their dedicated care and compassion during Shirley’s time with them.
