Shirley Potashner, passed away at 96 years of age, on Saturday January 11, 2025, peacefully after a brief hospital stay. Beloved husband of the late Bert Potashner, to whom she was married for 73 years. Devoted mother of Wayne and his wife Melissa and Mark and his wife Arlene. Adoring Bubby to Shira and Dan, Zach and Mel, Mitch and Kim, Renee, and Dana and Stefan. Proud great-Bubby to Ruby, Levi, Brooks, Tessa, and Zeke. Appreciation to her caregivers Marie and Rita for enhancing her final years.
She cherished her role as matriarch of a wonderful and caring family. She fought to be as independent as possible and lived that way throughout her life. She was a great role model for her children and grandchildren. She would proudly state ‘I did the best I could with what I had’, and she did.
