It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Shirley Carter on Wednesday, October 1st,2025 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Palliative Care Unit at the age of 87 years.
Shirley leaves to mourn her loving husband of 60 years Derek Carter, sons; Jack (Sonya), Dana (Tammy) and granddaughters; Jade (Dennis), Cheyenne. Brothers-in-law; Dorman (Pauline), Monty and sisters-in-law; Diane, Mary-Lou (Bill), Ann-Marie and Maxine. She also leaves to mourn her nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.
Predeceased by baby Carter, parents Mabel and Clem, brothers; George (Dorothy), Eugene, sisters Joan, Mima (Allen), Sylvia and brothers-in-law; David, Donald (Viola) and Shirley.
The family will be receiving family and friends on Friday, October 3rd,2025 at Parsons Funeral Home from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at the Salvation Army Church, Deer Lake on Saturday, October 4th, 2025 at 11am with Majors Frank & Rita Pittman officiating. Interment to follow at the family plot in the Salvation Army Cemetery on High St.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to a charity of ones choice in memory of Shirley.
