Sharon Smith (nee Horner) Obituary
Peacefully, with her family by her side, in Long Term Care Shawville Hospital, on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at the age of 77. Daughter of the late Lindsay Horner and Muriel Brownlee. Beloved wife of the late Dalton Smith and loving mother of Todd (Jennifer St-Aubin). Sharon was predeceased by son James (1998), two infant sons and two infant daughters. Much loved grandmother of Brandon and Breanna. Sharon dearly loved her extended family Ruth Robertson (Larry), Richard Sparling (Claire), Barb Sparling and Stephen Sparling (Debbie). She will be missed by her sisters; Fay (Red McTiernan), Joan (late Donald Woermke), Marion (late John Musgrove), Beryl (late Allen Bruce), Betty (William Devlin) and her brother Jim Horner (Kathy). Also survived by sisters-in-law; Jean (late Charles Smith), Gisele (late Sherman Smith), Ethel (late Mervin Yach) and Lilda (Wilfred Schwartz). Predeceased by Minerva Sparling, Cora (Carl Sparling), Harvey (Fern Smith). Survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family wish to thank the staff of the Pontiac Community Hospital Long Term for their excellent care during our mother’s stay. Donations to the Pontiac Community Hospital Foundation, www.fhcpontiac.org/en/ Long Term activity fund or the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada would be greatly appreciated.
A Graveside Service will take place on Saturday, May 10, 2025 in Maple Grove Cemetery, Shawville, Quebec at 11:30 a.m.
