It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sandra Anne Bryant, on Wednesday, January 8, at the Upper River Valley Hospital in Waterville. She was born on December 15, 1945, in Woodstock, NB, to the late Archie and Doris (Cunningham) Demerchant.
As a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, she cherished her family deeply, always offering her strength, stability, and unconditional love. Sandra worked for many years at Humpty Dumpty. She found delight in the simple pleasures of life—watching her favourite TV show, Wheel of Fortune; sharing a laugh and cup of tea with family and friends; and enjoying quiet moments playing Solitaire, completing word searches, or knitting. Every year, she knit a number of hats for Harvest House. Sandra’s presence brought comfort, her kindness brought hope, and her heart brought love.
Sandra is survived by her children, Harley Greer (Jackie), Alex Greer (Arlene), and Natalie Greer (Rob); grandchildren Amanda Zhang, Murray Greer, Crystal Hemsley (Erik), Trinton Watters (Cathy), Marlee Ralston (Shawn), Lauren Pimlott; and great-grandchildren, Mabel, Clarke, Skylar, Sophie, and Cheyanne.
She is also survived by her step-children, Lisa Katsiris (Peter), Dana Greenfield (Patrick), and Blake Bryant (Jenn), and step-grandchildren, Lucas, Abigail, Zoe, Logan, and Everson.
Sandra will also be missed by her siblings, Bunny Pryor, Marilyn Everett, Paul DeMerchant (Wanda), Lewis DeMerchant (Gail), and Mackie DeMerchant (Alma); brothers and sisters-in-law, Maida Petkau, Mary Raymond, David Bryant (Jennifer), and Debra Aboui; as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
In addition to her parents, Sandra was predeceased by her first husband and father of her children, Clarke Greer; her second husband, Daniel Bryant; and sister, Elaine Griffin.
The family would like to extend sincere thanks to Dr. Stocek for his many years of excellent care, and URVH teams of ER and 2E.
As per Sandra’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Interment will be at a later date in the McKenzie Corner Cemetery.
If so desired, donations in Sandra’s memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Harvest House.
