Ruby Bannister Obituary
Ruby Bannister 95, of Moncton passed away peacefully on Saturday March 1, 2025 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Prince Edward Island, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Annie (Barrett) Ramsay.
Ruby was a former employee of the T. Eaton Co. Ltd, Creagan’s and retired manager of Nortel’s. She was a member or Emmanuel Baptist Church. Ruby enjoyed cooking, RV’ing, travelling and time spend with her family.
Ruby is survived by her daughter Susan Biggs, son Paul Thompson; grandchildren Bradford (Jon), Krista, Stephen (Kelly), Melanie (Ernesto), Amber, Justine (Jeff) and Caitlin (J.C.); sister-in-law Shirley Ramsay and brother-in-law Eric Oulton.
In addition to her parents, Ruby was predeceased by her husbands Gerald Thompson (1987) and Sheldon Bannister (2001), sons Rodney and Craig, son in law Tom Biggs, daughter in law Wanda Thompson, sisters Ethel and Bertha and brothers Walter and Russell.
A Funeral Service to celebrate Ruby’s Life will be held from Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Rd. Moncton NB (506-858-1995) on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at 2:00 PM. Memorial donations may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church or to the donor’s choice. Online condolences for the family may be shared at: www.fergusonsfuneralhome.com
