NEWSTEAD, RoseMarie (nee Burke) – April 23, 1944 – April 26, 2025. It is with sweet sorrow that we announce the passing of RoseMarie of Paris in her 82nd year, beloved Mother, Nana and Great Nana. Peacefully at Park Lane Terrace with her loved ones by her side. Mother of Sandee O’Neill (and Jerrod Leeman), Regan (and Jaimie) Elliott. Beloved Nana of Breanna (and Ryan), Meghan, Ryan, Blake, Emma, Ella and great Nana of Henry and August. Sister of Nancy (and Robert) Bartlett. Predeceased by her partner Ernie McDonald, sons Daryl and Daryn Elliott, parents Carl and Jessie Burke, siblings Beryl, Marylee, Shirley, Bobby and Jimmie. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and lifelong friend Cindy (and Eric) Fournier. RoseMarie was a lifelong resident of Paris who could often be found at Paris Soccer Club fields and at Paris Panthers Football games cheering on her grandchildren. Her world revolved around her love of her children and especially her grandchildren. She was very proud of her grandchildren and sang their praises, showed pictures and told stories about them to everyone who would listen. Her zest for living and being a part of life is the legacy that she leaves behind. Her weekly updates about life at “The Terrace” has brought happiness and joy to those who have read them. She loved her life at Park Lane and was involved in so many activities, making so many new friends and memories that are cherished. Family and friends will be received at Thompson-Mott Funeral Home, Waterford on Friday May 2, 2025, from 4-7pm. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Saturday May 3, 2025, at 1pm. Rev. Evan Smith officiating. Interment Waterford Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to Park Lane Terrace Recreation would be appreciated. Special thanks to the Staff at Park Lane for their dedication, caring and compassion with Mom right up to saying goodbye.
